About Pimalia

Pimalia is a relatively new label, starting way back in 1886.  We focus on audio that is hard to categorize and easily overlooked, and we are just as apt to release an album of technique-heavy, art-house meanderings as we are to cook up some crazed backwoods meth-lab psychosis.  We also occasionally indulge in hyperbole.  So please forgive any forays into verbal pretentiousness you may encounter in our descriptions; we’re much more comfortable making music than we are talking about it.

Currently, releases are available for download from:

Plunderphonic(ish), dark-ambient(ish) duo 400 Lonely Things.

San Francisco based multi-instrumentalist Ferrara Brain Pan’s creepy and thoughtful avant-garde(ish) project Forms of Things Unknown.

Fun-loving lo-fi hillbilly nightmare cretins (and we mean that lovingly) MOOLAH TEMPLE $tringband.

Silent Film Soundtracks Volume One from Punk(ish) Jazz(ish) guitarist and composer Larry Marotta.
