Hawaiian Garbage
Hawaiian Garbage, aka Jim Killebrew, lives in Southern Appalachia. He used to live in Hawaii, but limped on back to the mainland. Most folks do, you know. Hawaiian took piano lessons as a child, but soon lost interest. Hawaiian Garbage, or “Rubbish”, is largely a group effort. Sometimes it’s a family affair. It’s listening to new words and answering machines and messed up doors and $3.00 ukuleles for those sqecial qualities, then arranging and messing with these until they sound done. ‘njoy, y’uns.
Look for a full-length album from Hawaiian Garbage out on Pimalia in 2009.
Hawaiian Garbage has a myspace, and it’s here.
